Ales ?ačovič a.k.a. Alenia has been involved in music production for over a decade. He started to collaborate with Torul (also on audioBase.com) under the Clockworx moniker in 1992. Being among the pioneers of Slovenian techno, this duo later appeared as Clox, Cloak Device and Channel Klirr on Absense and Matrix Music labels as well as a floor shaking electronic live act in the evolving rave scene. Later on Aleš went to pursue his own style as a DJ and producer.

While gaining experience through studio production and live acts, Aleš started DJing in 1994 as DJ AL. His DJ style and production was gradually evolving toward techno, influenced by his most favourite artists Mills and Clarke.

Following the years of defining his style, Aleš started putting out releases as ALENIA on German labels such as Fine Audio and Touchtone, yet it was the release on the Swiss SPEAKER ATTACK label in 2000, that put him in the visible spot on the techno map.

His breakthrough, however, came in 2001 with a series of releases on labels such as SPORE (UK), THULE (Island), SEISMIC (USA), TERMINAL M (Germany), ROTATION (UK), EUKATECH (UK), SUPERBRA (Switzerland), DEFINITION (Germany), KIAL (Slovenia), BOO (Australia), FLOOR (UK), MISSILE (UK) and others.
